Who we are

chonk.me (“we”, “us”) is a web app that turns photos into fully clothed super-chonk / AI fat filter stills and optional short motion clips. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Account data — email or OAuth provider identifiers, display name, and profile photo when you sign in.
Photos you upload — source images used to generate chonk results, plus derived outputs (still images, optional video clips, thumbnails).
Generation metadata — intensity settings, targeting choices, style, timestamps, and status of jobs.
Payments — handled by our payment processor (e.g. Stripe). We store purchase status and credit balances; we do not store full card numbers.
Usage & device signals — basic analytics and diagnostics (e.g. product events, error logs, approximate device type) to keep the product reliable and improve funnels.
Attribution — first-touch campaign or referral codes when present, so we can understand how people found chonk.me.

How we use your data

To run the AI fat filter / super-chonk pipeline and deliver results to you.
To authenticate you, protect accounts, and prevent abuse or fraud.
To manage chonk credits, purchases, and support requests.
To operate the optional public feed and share pages when you publish.
To measure product health and improve quality (aggregated or pseudonymous where practical).

Private by default

Generations are private by default. They are not shown on the public feed or share pages until you explicitly publish or share them. You can mark a result private again from the app when that control is available.

Public posts may show the generated image (and before image when available), creator display name, and engagement counts. Do not publish photos of people who did not consent.

Processors & subprocessors

We use infrastructure and model providers to host the app, store media, run generation, process payments, and measure product analytics. Those providers process data on our behalf under their terms and only as needed to provide the service.

Retention

We keep account data and generations while your account is active and as needed to provide the product, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of account content; some logs or financial records may be retained for a limited period where required.

Children

chonk.me is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not upload photos of minors. If you believe we have such content, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Your choices

Use the app as a guest only where offered; sign in to keep results and purchases with you.
Control public vs private visibility for shareable results.
Request access or deletion of account data by contacting support.

Security

We use industry-standard transport encryption and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; generate and share responsibly.

International users

We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using chonk.me you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
